Advanced Equine Veterinary Manual Therapy Online Sessions

A structured pathway combining online study with hands-on onsite training in advanced manual therapy techniques for horses.

Earn 16 hours of RACE approved CE through this 100% hands-on course, which will be full coaching of your chiropractic skills while learning myofascial release techniques and how they can be implemented to achieve better adjusting results. The two-day course will begin at 8am at barns in the Richmond, Virginia area. Each day will begin with gait analysis of the involved cases, and each student will be assigned a horse to work on. Students will begin adjusting on their assigned horse and have hands-on coaching to improve motion palpation and releases. If you cannot feel it, you cannot fix it! Students will learn myofascial release techniques, and if they have been trained in Veterinary Tui-na, will be taught how to utilize those techniques in a chiropractic adjustment. The Instructor(s) will rotate through the students, motion palpate behind them, and suggest ways of mobilizing spinal segments and body areas more effectively using myofascial release and Tui-na. When all students are satisfied with their personal case, we will repeat a visual gait analysis, discussing the chiropractic findings and how they impact or relate to the movement of each animal. This process will repeat on different horses so as to provide as much hands-on learning as possible. Three barns will be lined up for each day.
