Aituan Ma MS, PhD

Abstract

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) has developed over thousands of years and continues to evolve today. Research is crucial to this evolution as it validates the efficacy of treatments and promotes the practice of evidence-based Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). At present, an increasing volume of ongoing scientific research is being performed to elucidate the basic mechanisms and clinical applications of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in both animals and humans around the world. The following list is a partial summary of the extensive body of funded scientific studies occurring over the past 10 years (2005 to 2015) around the world. It includes TCVM research projects from the USA, Brazil and Europe as well as the Asian countries of China, South Korea and Thailand.
